Outline

The Skills and Education awarding body, level 3 certificate Fashion & Textile course is a practical, advanced pattern cutting and construction course involving industry standard techniques.You will complete three units and gain skills in jersey fabrics, draping on the stand and manual grading techniques plus others.Ideally you will have a level 2 fashion & textiles qualification or previous experience in this subject area.This is a part-time course of four hours a week being offered in the evening or daytime.

Assessment

The course is entirely practical and technical, and you will be assessed through the completion of a series of more advanced garment design and construction tasks set by an experienced tutor. Although challenging, you will receive clear step by step support in developing a more diverse portfolio of practical work that will showcase your more advanced fashion and textiles skills.

Entry Requirements

We would normally expect students to have completed the Level 2 Certificate in Fashion and Textiles. However, our tutors might determine that you have enough practical or industry experience to come straight on to this Level 3 course. You will need to be able to take on the challenges of time management.
