Made it Happen: Natasha’s Journey to Success at Pendleton Sixth Form College
Natasha Banks, a Musical Theatre student, recently sat down with us to share her inspiring journey and success stories at Pendleton Sixth Form College as part of our new marketing campaign, "Made it Happen."
Why did you choose Pendleton when applying for colleges?
"I am a very indecisive person, so I applied for a few colleges, but I came here first when it was enrolment and I had a look around and instantly loved the feel of the place, everybody was so nice and I enjoyed the overall environment so I quickly made my decision. The staff and facilities didn’t compare to my other choices and Pendleton is definitely one of the best colleges, especially in terms of Pastoral."
How would you describe your overall experience at Pendleton?
"It’s been really good, I’ve made friends which I will keep for life. The staff have been really supportive and they all communicate with each other so I know I am in good hands. College has been so fun and I’ve enjoyed my time at college."
What was your made it moment?
"My made it moment was getting a place at several drama schools. I have more or less made my decision as to which I want to go, and I start this September studying Musical Theatre."
Do you think you would have had these opportunities if you studied Musical Theatre elsewhere?
"No, Pendleton has helped me with confidence, especially in Dance."
What is your dream career, and how do you think studying at Pendleton has helped you nurture this goal?
"I want to be on the West End. And Pendleton have definitely helped me because they have given us the opportunity to meet people who work in the West End and we have done classes with them. There are lots of connections with the Pendleton School of Theatre, I don’t think I’ve been anywhere that’s had as many connections to the industry as here and so we have had a lot of support from the teachers but also help from people who work in the industry at the minute."
How would you describe Pendleton Sixth Form College in 3 words?
"Challenging (but in a good way), supportive, exciting.
