A group of learners posing in front of the college bus at Chester Zoo

Students from Inclusive Learning at Eccles Sixth Form College enjoyed a trip to Chester Zoo recently as part of their overall learning experience. This visit was a great chance to discover new animals, spend time with their friends and classmates and connect with people from other groups as a chance to develop their social skills. For many of the students who attended, this was their first time visiting a zoo, and everyone was thrilled to get the chance to take part in this great experience.

Inclusive Learning is a key part of what we do at Eccles College, and trips like this are a fantastic opportunity for our students to learn and grow. All our students from across our range of offerings enjoy countless chances to explore a wide range of extracurricular activities outside their day-to-day studies. For Inclusive Learning students, this is an especially crucial part of how we give them the best possible experience, allowing them to enjoy their time here while also representing a chance to discover more about the world and themselves.

Eccles Sixth Form, and Salford City College as a whole, is always striving to give young people in Salford the best possible opportunity to secure a bright future for themselves. This trip to Chester Zoo, and the many other trips and activities that we run for our students, are an enormously important part of how we prepare students not just for careers and work life, but for their own personal development too.
